Harvest season begins when the wild blackberry crop ripens in mid to late April/May and continues with the ripening of the purple hull, peas, sweet corn, and melons, squash and tomatoes in June/July
The harvest season ends with the pumpkins and late season vegetables in early August. The first Sunday in August is our last day for the year 2014.
We work hard to grow delicious fruits and vegetables for you to purchase in our farm market. We consider the land to be blessed and a gift from God. To keep the farm healthy and safe we use Integrated Pest Management and Natural Management Practices. Our Farm is located in East Texas, in Van Zandt County,3.6 miles west of Ben Wheeler Texas on FM 279, This is near Tyler Texas, (26 miles east,) , and west of Edom, Texas. The weather conditions and customer demand will determine the supply of our fruits and vegetables, which means get here first and call before you come! Let me repeat that... get here early in the season and call before you come! Sometimes the demand may deplete the supply of certain fruits and vegetables during a particular ripening season.

Please leave your dogs at home. We have registered German shepherd puppies and would not like for them to eat your fru fru dog. Just teasing, our dogs are kept in our enclosed yard. and are no threat to you. We would appreciate if you shared the same courtesy and left yours at home.
We accept cash, LOCAL CHECKS only, and credit cards..... (possibly if we can figure out this newfangled contraption by that time….. Visa, MasterCard, and Discover). An ATM is also available at a nearby bank 3.5 miles away.
Our crops this year: The Good Lord willing, and it rains, and the bugs don’t get there first, and the deer, and rabbits, and feral hogs, and coyotes, permitting we are growing:
Wild Black Berries! Not the domesticated kind yet! That’s summer after next! But the plain ol'-good-Lord-planted-kind-of-berries you grew up picking!

· Purple hull peas
· Peppers, hot, mild and bell
· Two kinds of cantaloupe*
· Two kinds of watermelon*
· A few pumpkins

85% of our produce is from heirloom, open-pollinated seed. We save our seeds, so we can plant again next year without having to go to the poor house to pay for seed.
